The Consulate General of the Philippines in Dubai and N. Emirates received a donation in the amount of AED19,576.00 which is equivalent to Php238,848.00 from Al Rostamani International Exchange (ARIE), representing ARIE’s commitment to assist the victims of Typoon Haiyan/ Yolanda.

Consul General Frank R. Cimafranca received the donation from ARIE General Manager S. Karunakaran and A.M. Marketing & Head – Philippine Remittance Caloy N. Serrano last 24 February. The donation was remitted to the NDRRMC Donated Fund Account.

Al Rostamani International Exchange donated AED1 from the service fee collected for every personal remittance sent to the Philippines thru any of their branches.

Similar fund raising projects for the victims of Typhoon Sendong (2011) netted AED9,208.00 and Tropical Storm Haiku (2012) amounting to AED12,897.00.
