The Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Dubai and N. Emirates takes note of the 268% increase in the monthly passport application for February 2013 compared to the same period last year. A total of 4,977 passport applications were processed in February of this year as opposed to 1,859 in February 2012. The February 2013 figure follows the 5,409 intake in January of this year.

The same is observed in Passport extensions with February 2013 figuring 1,449 and February 2012 at 599.

The Consulate General is scheduled to conduct a mobile service, including the attached services, in Ras Al Khaimah this 15-16 March. A similar mobile service was conducted in Fujairah last February to better serve the communities in far flung emirates.
