The Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Dubai and the Northern Emirates partnered with Dubai National Air Travel Agency (DNATA) to better assist Filipino nationals who are seeking to avail of the Amnesty program of the UAE government in line with DNATA’s support to the Filipino community.

Last December 2012, a help desk was put up inside the Consulate General premises. This was replaced with a kiosk in January 2013 where amnesty seekers may avail of DNATA’s products and services. Aside from offering special air ticket fares (DNATA waived its commission), air ticket confirmation assistance, re-issue of tickets, and a 24hrs help-desk at Dubai International Terminal 1 were also included in the services.

Nizar Abdul, DNATA Retail Sales Manager, noted that this is the third (3rd) time that the Consulate General and DNATA partnered in a worthwhile program aside from the previous two amnesties.

Consul General Frank R. Cimafranca welcomed the initiative from DNATA and expressed his thanks for DNATA’s continued support to the community.

The UAE amnesty program runs 4 December 2012 -4 February 2013. A total of 504 nationals have availed of the program last December and 330 this January with the amnesty entering its final week.
