The Consulate General of the Philippines in Dubai and the N. Emirates attended to 39 Filipino nationals flown from Algeria last 19 January 2013. Consul General Frank Cimafranca led the response team that welcomed and assisted the group that arrived at Dubai airport via EK012 from Gatwick. All 38 are Petrofac employees while one (1) is employed by BP Exploration Algeria.

A member of the group, Bonifacio Alcantara, encountered a problem with his boarding pass when the one issued at Gatwick did not reflect his correct name on his passport. Vice Consul Geronimo Suliguin resolved the matter with Petrofac representative who purchased a new ticket for Mr. Alcantara.

The 39 Filipinos boarded Emirates Airlines Flight EK332 which departed Dubai 0400H of 20 January 2012 and arrived in Manila at 1600H on the same day.
