The Filipino Community in Dubai and the N. Emirates trooped to Emaar Boulevard to take part in the Downtown Dubai Parade held to celebrate the 41st National Day of United Arab Emirates last 2 December 2012.
Marching behind the six (6) meter banner, the different groups making up the Filipino Community made their way in front of the line with their faces painted with the UAE and Philippine colors. While others were in their club shirts, the Cordillerans were sporting their colorful vests. Mrs. Lucila Cimafranca and Ms. Francesca Cimafranca, wife and daughter of Consul General Frank R. Cimafranca, respectively, participated in the parade together with the teachers and students of The Philippine School (TPS) – Dubai.
Filipino nationals make up the fourth (4th) largest group of expatriates living in the UAE.
