Consul General Frank Cimafranca extolled the volunteers of Dalaw Kalinga 2012 and expressed his sincere gratitude to both organizers and volunteers of the medical mission held last 30 November 2012 at the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ Fourth Watch in Sharjah.
The Consul General likened his remarks to the volunteers of the Katipunan headed by its Supremo Gat Andres Bonifacio and the numerous volunteers-heroes whose unselfish actions to attain the nation”s independence were being celebrated by the Philippines on this day.
He stated that it is the volunteers that are impacting change and are making the difference in the lives of those they have helped.
Aside from the free medical checkup, free dental services were also made available, as well as haircut and reflexology.
Later in the evening, the Consul General stood as Guest Speaker in the 60th EZ Steps Graduation of the Filipino Dance Club of Dubai held at the Al Hamra Ballroom, Metropolitan Palace Hotel where he praised the officers, members, and graduates alike for nurturing the natural talents of the Filipino.
