The officers and staff of the Consulate General of the Philippines in Dubai and the N. Emirates welcomed their new Head of Post, H.E. Frank R. Cimafranca, in a simple merienda cena held at the Consulate General last 25 November 2012.
Prior to his assignment in Dubai, H.E. Frank R. Cimafranca, Chief of Mission II, was Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General of Philippine Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands.
Consul General Cimafranca, who hails from Bohol, earned his AB Economics degree from DWC (1981) and his LLB from UE (1989). He has attended the Programme in Development Economics from UP Diliman (1984) and he was a UN Disarmament Fellow (2000). He was Administrative Officer then Vice Consul in Sydney (1991-94), Third Secretary and Vice Consul in Kuala Lumpur (1994-95), Third Secretary and Vice Consul in Jakarta (1995-97), Second Secretary, First Secretary and Consul, then Minister in Philippine Mission UN Geneva (2000-06).
Back home, he used to be Researcher for Economic Affairs (1981-83), Assistant at the Office of American Affairs (1983-89) and Intelligence and Legal Services (1989-90), OIC of Zamboanga CEO (1990-91), Director of Office of Legal Affairs (2006-07), and Executive Director of the Office of Fiscal Management in 2008 before his posting in The Hague.
Consul General Cimafranca arrived in Dubai 24 November 2012.
