Al Rostamani International Exchange (ARIE), in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Dubai and the N. Emirates, launched a fund drive to help the victims of Southwest Monsoon and Tropical Storm Haikui which ravaged the Northern and Central Philippines last week.

The fund drive which shall last for two (2) months, from 15 August – 15 October 2012, includes the following:

• Acceptance and remittance of donations FREE of charge to the fund drive through ABS-CBN Foundation Inc.- Sagip Kapamilya. For every donation through Sagip Kapamilya, ABS CBN will waive their back end fees and add Five (5) Pesos (Php5.00) as their share from their coffer
• Acceptance and remittance of donations FREE of charge to the fund drive through GMA Kapuso Foundation, The Philippine Red Cross, and De La Salle University Fund Drive.
• Al Rostamani International Exchange would donate AED1 from the service fee collected for every personal remittance sent to the Philippines thru any of their branches.

The Consulate General notes that a similar fund raising project for the victims of Typhoon Sendong late last year netted AED9,208.00 which was handed over
