13 June 2012 – Filipino nationals registering for the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) were surprised to receive the June 2012 issue of Illustrado magazine featuring 114 Years of PH Independence. The treat includes vouchers at a Filipino restaurant and product samples. A short Q&A on Philippine independence which the group gamely participated in awarded lucky registrants the chic “It’s More Fun” sunglasses for Dubai’s summer sun.

Aside from regular OAV registration conducted at the PCG premises on Sundays-Thursdays, the Consulate General’s OAV Team shall conduct field registrations on the following dates:

• 15 June and 22 June at Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ
• 29 June at Filipino Club RAK Socio-Cultural and Sports Center, RAK
• 20 July at St. Francis Church, Jebel Ali

Those who would like to avail of the registration on the above dates are reminded to bring a copy of their passport’s data page to facilitate registration.
