The officers and staff of the Consulate General, POLO-OWWA Dubai, Office of the Agriculture Attache, and some Filipino organizations held a simple farewell celebration in honor of outgoing Consul General Benito Valeriano last Friday, 14 September at the PCG premises.
The outgoing Consul General expressed his thanks for all the support he received in his more than four (4) years as Head of Post in Dubai. He also gave thanks to the Filipino Community even as he reminded the different organizations to be always in harmony with each other.
Consul General Valeriano, Chief of Mission I, is leaving on the 29th September to assume his post as Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary (AEP) of Philippine Embassy in New Delhi, India. He was sworn in as Ambassador by DFA Secretary Albert del Rosario last 30 May after his confirmation by the Commission on Appointments (CA).
His successor, H.E. Frank R. Cimafranca, Chief of Mission II, Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General of Philippine Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands, shall be arriving on the same day.
