26 December 2011 – The Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines expresses its thanks to Al Rostamani Group for its offer of assistance to typhoon Sendong victims.

In a letter received last 21 December, the Al Rostamani Group through P. Krishna Murthy, CEO, Financial Services Division, offered assistance to typhoon Sendong Victims as an act of humanitarian solidarity and assistance to the Filipino expatriate community by launching a fund drive wherein the proceeds will go to the victims of Typhoon Sendong.

Al Rostamani shall donate AED1 donation for every commission it gets for remittances sent to the Philippines thru any branch of Al Rostamani International Exchange from 25 December – 31January 2012. Further, it also forged a tie-up with ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya Foundation, where it agreed to remit donations free-of-charge, for all remittances to ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya Foundation.

The Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines interposes no objection to this worthy cause and wishes the group more power in its efforts to help our kababayans in need.
