The latest advisory on foreign assistance for the victims of typhoon Sendong highlights the need for tents and temporary shelters as top priority. Kitchen utensils as well as gas stoves are also on top of the list.

Donors bringing in relief goods/ assistance using foreign aircrafts have to submit flight details to the Department of Foreign Affairs for the necessary diplomatic clearance.

Cagayan de Oro Airport can only accommodate aircrafts as big as Boeing 747. Larger aircrafts can use either Davao or General Santos Airports.

Per Circular CIR-1986-OUSC-2011 dated 26 December 2011, per the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), donations of used clothes is now accepted provided they are consigned to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
