Applicants from RAK and NE lining up for encoding of passport details at the PCG.

The Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines held a consular service yesterday 20 December to celebrate the Christmas season and part of its efforts to extend its services to its constituents from far flung areas.

Around 60 nationals renewed their passports, most of them from RAK and the N. Emirates. The consular service was over and above the 200 applicants scheduled for the day including those with appointments and those who availed of the service for emergency reasons.

The Consulate General reminds the Filipino community in Dubai and N. Emirates that per ICAO regulations, passports could only be used for travel and other purpose if it has validity of at least six (6) months before expiration date. With Philippine passports printed in Manila, everyone is reminded to avail of the appointment service (online link) at least seven (7) months before the passports expire.
