PH CONSULATE AND MIGRANT WORKERS OFFICE IN DUBAI OPENS DOORS TO OVER 500 FILIPINOS ON THIRD SPECIAL CONSULAR DAY FOR 2023

Over 500 Filipinos based in Dubai and the Northern Emirates were assisted by personnel of the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Migrant Workers Office – Dubai during the special consular day on 29 July 2023.

31 July 2023, Dubai, UAE – Over 500 Overseas Filipinos based in Dubai and the Northern Emirates were able to avail services of the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Migrant Workers Office – Dubai at the Special Consular Day held on 29 July 2023.

The Consulate General conducts regular consular missions to make consular services, such as the renewal of their passports and notarization of their legal documents (e.g. special power of attorney, affidavits, etc.) available for applicants on a weekend.

Aside from passport and notarial services, applicants were also able to avail themselves of the services of attached agencies such as contract verification with the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), and membership in OWWA, SSS, and Pag-IBIG.  

The team provided a total of 505 services during the special consular day, broken down as follows:

The special consular day is a mission conducted by the Consulate to make consular services and the services of its attached agencies available for Overseas Filipinos on a weekend to accommodate those who are unable to excuse themselves from work during the regular business days.
