09 June 2015, Dubai, UAE. Dubai PCG Acting Consul General Giovanni E Palec led the Philippine Consulate delegation to the Diplomatic Reception held at Emirates Palace Hotel which the Consulate co-hosted with the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of the 117th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Philippine Independence Day.

The well-attended Diplomatic Reception also commemorated the 35th Anniversary of the Philippine-Emirati friendship and diplomatic relations.

Also in attendance in the reception were representatives from prominent Philippine companies such as Jollibee Foods corporation, Max's Fried Chicken, leather goods company Fino, fine dining restaurant brand La Comida and selected Filipino artists from Manila.

The Philippine Consulate delegation also included the POLO-OWWA Dubai officials namely LabAtt Attorney Delmer Cruz, Assistant LabAtt Venus Abad etc., as well as Dubai-based Philippine Agriculture Attaché Gil Herico, Trade Attaché Paisal Abdulla and DOT Marketing officer Glenn Johnston.

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Grace Relucio Princesa delivered her official message, made poignant when she said that it will be her last as she is bound to leave for Manila later this year after completing her tour of duty in the UAE.
