25 May 2015, Dubai, UAE. Dubai PCG Acting Consul General Giovanni E Palec led another mobile consular mission to Ras Al Khaima, the northernmost Emirate to serve the large Filipino community in the said area and other proximal Emirates. The mission was held at the Iceland Water Park which could accommodate the huge number of applicants availing of the consular services offered.

This is the second on-site consular mission organized by the Consulate in cooperation with the Filipino Club of Ras Al Khaima, and the third of its kind for the said community this year.

Ras Al Khaima has about 15,800 Filipinos although community estimates peg it to well over 25,000. As always, the consular mission includes services provided by the POLO-OWWA of Dubai, the SSS and PAG-IBIG.

The mobile consular team provided services to over 200 applicants with 189 passport applications and around 31 notarial clients during the 10-hour mission. The Overseas Voter (OV) Registration team registered 184 new OV registrants.

In observance of the holy month of Ramadan, the Consulate may roll out mobile consular missions in the Northern Emirates from morning to early afternoon.
