DEMONETIZATION SCHEDULE OF THE BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS (BSP)

18 April 2016 – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates wishes to remind all Filipinos of the Demonetization Schedule of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).  All old banknote series that were launched in 1985 can no longer be used for daily transactions and can only be exchanged in banks and BSP offices until December 2016.  Starting 01 January 2017, these banknote series will no longer be accepted/exchanged and has no more value.  Only the new banknote series launched in 2010 will be accepted for daily transactions.
