20 November 2016, Dubai, UAE. The Philippine Consulate in coordination with the Canadian University of Dubai hosted Educational Series on AD/HD at the Consulate on 18 November 2016, in celebration of the Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Awareness Week.

The event was divided into two (2) sessions: Food, Behavior, and AD/HD: Effective strategies for teaching students with educational needs and Solving the Puzzle of your AD/HD child: Parenting Tips. The event was attended by some 100 participants from teachers of Philippine schools and parents.

The forum was hosted by Dr. Rommel Sergio, Associate Professor of Canadian University Dubai and the series were conducted by Dr. Neda June Salazar, Assistant Professor, Higher Colleges of Technology and Dr. Angeline Malaya, School Psychologist, UIPS.

The educational series were able to impart basic knowledge on the AD/HD illness; identifying its symptoms and handling effective and immediate care of children with ADHD; and understanding of the illness for parents who may have been engaged with unidentified case of ADHD in one of their children.
