23 May 2017, Dubai, U.A.E. The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates held its monthly town hall meeting yesterday, 22 May 2017, at the Consulate’s Rizal hall. Special guest was TESDA Secretary Guiling Mamondiong. His agenda items for the town hall meeting included building expertise for the overseas Filipino and issues on federalism.

Over 200 Filipinos from across the Emirates jampacked the Consulate as they  listened to the secondary as he laid down the priorities and programs of TESDA and how the government envisions a more educated Overseas Filipino community ready to lend their expertise and talents to the development of our motherland.

The three-hour program also discussed policies on federalism, its advantages and disadvantages and the timeline being considered.

The Consulate hosts regular monthly town hall meetings to provide the community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates a fresh perspective on Philippine issues and concerns. END
