CEREMONIES

22 October 2017, Dubai, UAE – Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund P. Cortes led the Graduation Ceremony of the Ateneo School of Government’s (ASOG) Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship (LSE) Batch 48 on Friday, 20 October 2017 at the Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai.

In his address, the Consul General urged the graduates to exert greater efforts to harness the creative and innovative talents of Overseas Filipinos to provide new solutions to emerging global challenges. He encouraged them to use and hone their newfound financial literacy skills and expertise to explore avenues where Overseas Filipinos could play a more productive and meaningful role in nation building. He likewise expressed hope that the new graduates would be key partners of government in improving the lives and well-being of the Filipino nation.

The LSE Program is a 7-month course conducted by the Philippine Business Council in Dubai and the ASOG in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai that provides training on project, personnel, and financial management to Overseas Filipinos, allowing them to become social entrepreneurs of their own.

Established in 2013, the Dubai LSE program has trained over 350 overseas Filipinos based in Dubai. This year, PBC Dubai expanded the LSE Program to interested overseas Filipinos in Abu Dhabi. Some 45 in Abu Dhabi are expected to graduate from the program this year. END
