13 April 2018, Dubai, UAE – Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes led the Opening Ceremonies of Gerry’s Grill first UAE branch yesterday in downtown Dubai. Some 100 movers and influencers among the Filipino community joined the ceremonies, joined by some members of the Gerry’s Grill International Board of Directors and the franchise owners of Gerry’s Grill GCC operations.
In his address, Consul General Cortes said that, for years, Gerry’s Grill has provided memorable dining experiences to millions of Filipinos in the Philippines and in the United States and that its opening in Dubai will likewise allow the over half a million Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to relive that experience and for the millions of other ethnicities and nationalities in Dubai to discover what the essence of the experience of Filipino cuisine and hospitality is all about.
Gerry’s Grill is one of the latest of Filipino food brands to open in Dubai. Food, in particular, has found a gold mine as far as the Filipino market is concerned, as the Filipino social and cultural networks revolve around food and the dining experience. The Dubai branch is Gerry’s Grill second GCC outlet. The Doha Branch opened some years back.
