23 April 2018, Dubai, UAE – Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes conducted a Lecture on the Filipino Diaspora and the Role of Oerseas Filipinos in Nation Building at the American University of Sharjah.  Some 70 students and school administrators including the officers of the Philippines Social Club of the University attended the hour-long lecture.

The Consul General frequently conducts lectures on Philippine culture, Philippine history, Philippine economic developments, ASEAN awareness, and Philippine foreign policy priorities. Organizing such events  are part of the Consulate’s strategy to increase awareness of the Filipino people and boost the image of the Filipino particularly to the academic society of the UAE. END
