29  April 2018, Dubai, UAE – Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes participated in yesterday‘s EduBiz (Education for Business) Campaign of the Philippine Business Council (PBC) of Dubai and the Northern Emirates held at the Copthorne Hotel in Dubai. The event is one of the PBC’s education forums that aims to provide more training and academic background to Overseas Filipinos who wish to enhance their entrepreneurial skills, expertise and literacy.

The topics of yesterday’s forum included Effective Business Writing: Writing Winning Proposals and Effective Business Leadership. Some 80 overseas Filipinos participated in the workshop which saw the participation of noted educators and business leaders from among the Filipino Community in Dubai. 

The Consul General emphasized that the time for Filipino entrepreneurial spirit has come. He added that the doors of the PBC must be open to more Filipinos who are looking into business and challenged the audience to spread more awareness on what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. He also said that the Overseas Filipinos must not be percieved only as sources of remittances but more especially as a source of creativity and innovation, tools that would make them more competitive in an increasingly global and mobile world.
