08 May 2018, Dubai— The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai participated in the business management and leadership training that the Pakistani Business Council-Dubai (PBC) hosted on 07 May 2018 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Dubai. 

The organizers welcomed the participation of Dubai-based Filipino businessmen in the event due to the strong relationship between the Council, the Philippine Consulate and the Philippine business group in Dubai and Northern Emirates.   

Filipino organization and human resource management experts in Dubai, Dr. Rommel Sergio and Ms. Sugar Espadera, were invited as key speakers during the event.  Ms. Esperada identified the traits the business leaders must possess to adapt to the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous global business landscape. Taking into consideration the highly stressful business environment, Dr. Sergio, on the other hand, discussed the importance of having emotional intelligence among today’s business leaders, particularly in managing their teams and in interacting with individuals in the workplace.

The Philippine Consulate has been actively collaborating with the Philippine and Pakistan Business Councils in Dubai and Northern Emirates to contribute to efforts of the Philippine government to further strengthen the bilateral trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.  There are more than 5,000 registered Pakistani companies in the UAE that are engage in various businesses such construction machinery, finance, and consultancy.  END
