10 March 2018, Dubai, UAE –Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes led the dubbing ceremonies of the Knights of Rizal Emarat Dubai Chapter held at the Consulate’s Rizal Hall yesterday, 09 May 2018. Twelve (12) new knights were inducted into the EDC Chapter by Middle East and Africa Regional Commander Sir Zane Thirwall.

In my remarks, I stressed the need for all Filipinos to be role models for generations of overseas Filipinos to come, particularly as we endeavor to establish a strong commitment towards nation building. I added that the ideals of patriotism, valor, courage, discipline, and education must be inculcated into the minds of fellow Knights in order to be effective molders of young leaders. Moreover, not only must overseas Filipinos double their efforts to be model citizens in a century dominated by global migration, we must also continue to be move along the journey of the overseas Filipino in the service of the nation and our political, economic, and socio-cultural growth back home.
