Filipino Community in Dubai and Northern Emirates launched on 10 November 2018 Bayanihan 2018. The Bayanihan, held every December, is an annual

Collaboration between the Consulate and the Community to celebrate UAE National Day which falls on 2 December and the Christmas/Yuletide holidays. This year is scheduled on 21 December Friday at Dubai’s World Trade Center.

In his remarks, Consul General Cortes emphasized the importance of the collaboration of the Consulate with the Filipino Community on all events and gatherings especially as we espouse a greater and more interactive participation of the community in governance, a more people-centered approach towards foreign policy and diaspora diplomacy.

The past years have seen a greater participation in its Independence Day and Bayanihan activities. Last June, some 43,000 attended the Philippine Independence Day Celebrations of the Consulate and the PID Committee held on 11 May 2018 at the World Trade Center. END
