01 February 2018, Dubai, U.A.E. – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates opened the first-ever Sinulog celebration in Ras Al Khaimah, the northernmost Emirate of the UAE. Some 1000 community members participated in the Festival which featured Sinulog street dancing and local entertainment.

Preceeding the celebration ws the Holy Mass where undersigned thanked the Parish for hosting the festival, making it possible for the emirate to hold Sinulog for the first time. Undersigned also noted the importance of holding such activities that perpetuate Filipino customs and traditions and promote these not only among young overseas Filipinos but also to other ethnicities.
