27 January 2018, Dubai, U.A.E. – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates, in partnership with CHILD Center UAE, held the National Autism Awareness Forum on 30 January 2019 at the Rizal Hall Philippine Consulate General.
The forum, which was held to mark the 23rd National Autism Consciousness Week, included talks on Autism; the Learning Support Assistance system or Shadow Teaching; and Behavior Management. The event was attended by some 80 participants incuding parents, faculty teachers and school administrators of Philippine schools in Dubai, and media practitioners.
The event was organized to need for the overseas Filipino community to understand current health concerns and issues, how these affect our society, and how health awareness forums could allow a community find solutions to address these concerns. END
