27 January 2019, Dubai, UAE – Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes led the Opening of Tail Waggin’, the first Filipino owned pet store / hotel / adoption center, on 26 January 2019. Among the guests at the launch of the Pet Hotel included Philippine Business Council (PBC) Chair Marian Carella, officers of the PBC, and Labor Attaché Felicitas Bay.

Consul General Cortes congratulated Mr. Carl Laguerta, owner of Tail Waggin’, on the launch, noting the increasing number of Filipino owned businesses in Dubai. Mr Laguerta was a former employee of another pet store/hotel until he decided to open his own enterprise.

The Philippine Consulate General and the Philippine Business Council have partnered in several undertakings to spread entrepreneurship among the Overseas Filipino Community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. END
