PARTIAL LIFTING OF THE SUSPENSION OF VISA ISSUANCE 

The public is informed that beginning 01 August 2021, 9(a) temporary visitors visa may be issued to the following:

1. Foreign spouses of Filipino nationals, regardless of nationality;

2. Foreign minor children, and foreign children with special needs regardless of age, of         Filipino nationals; and

3. Foreign parents of minor Filipino children, and foreign parents of Filipino children with special needs regardless of age.

Please note that foreign spouses, parent/s and/or children who will not travel together with the Filipino nationals shall present a valid 9(a) visa with notation "EED NOT REQUIRED PER IATF RESOLUTION NO. 128 (s. 2021) upon arrival in the Philippines.

Balikbayan under RA 6768

Foreign nationals from non-visa required countries under EO 408, may avail the Balikbayan

program under RA 6768.  Former Filipino, or traveling with Filipino / former Filipino and their foreign spouse / parent can be considered as Balikbayan and need not secure a visa  to be able to travel to the Philippines.
